Okay, so here I am—officially a BookTok refugee, venturing into the land of Tumblr for the first time. 🫣

I’m a huge fan of the romantasy genre. If there’s magic, romance, and a plot that’ll keep me up all night reading, you can bet I’m all in. 💖✨ I’ve spent countless hours on BookTok getting lost in the book recs. I am very excited for the upcoming release of Onyx Storm. I need my feed to be full of bookish posts and really good book recommendations.

⚠️Calling All Queer Readers⚠️

If you’ve ever wanted to join a book club that reads queer books with a focus on intersectionality and diversity, I have wonderful news for you!

Fable is a book club app (which has expanded to include clubs for tv shows now too!) that combines the community aspect of Goodreads with the more user-friendly reading tracker features of Storygraph. It’s super easy to set up a profile and start reading with friends!

The QueerLit Book Club is the club I moderate where we read books by queer authors about queer characters. Right now we are reading We Are Okay by Nina LaCour.

I also share lots of book recommendations for different months/categories (pride month, immigrant heritage month, spooky season, holidays, women’s history month, etc).

Ok ok, book community I have a question, I have some old shadowhunters book, like 12 years old books I got second hand but that isn't the point, the point is in the places where the acids in the pages have leaked as it normal with old books, there's bits of dust like stuff that have formed and seeing as I live in the uk and pretty much everyone here has an issue with mold, as I have had and had to throw a lot of my books out as it get into them, would we say the growth is mold or just old books breaking down? Note I owned the books I'm taking abt during my past mold issue

My relationship was bollywood movies is an odd one. I grew up dancing to Bollywood music from Madhuri Dixit mixes all the way to any Salman Khan movie soundtrack in my Bollywood dance class. I didn't watch the movies for any of the songs that I knew, so truly the stories that most people associate with the music is not one I can relate to. I listen to music whenever I read, and for me reading desi books means I feel the need to listen to Bollywood music. Things like the book 'Queen Bee' by Amelie Howard I associate Kamariya (the song) - to me, my own love of desi literature comes from the music and to always have it tied together is so important.
